08:28 AM EDT, 06/06/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Xtract One Technologies ( XTRAF ) on Thursday said it had signed contracts with teams competing in Major League Baseball, the National Hockey League and the National Basketball Association.

The threat detection and security solutions company said the contracts were awarded following Xtract One's ( XTRAF ) announcement that SmartGateway has been designated by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security as a Qualified Anti-Terrorism Technology.

The QATT certification is a mandatory requirement for vendor selection by several organizations including MLB and the NHL.

Xtract One's ( XTRAF ) SmartGateway replaces traditional metal detectors with screening solutions for large, ticketed venues. Using AI-powered sensors, SmartGateway scans patrons for weapons and other prohibited items as they walk through, eliminating the need to empty pockets and reducing time spent in security lines.
