10:48 AM EDT, 09/11/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Xylem (XYL) said Thursday it and Amazon ( AMZN ) are collaborating with the cities of Mexico City and Monterrey to deploy its Vue software platform to trace leaks, reduce water losses, and enhance residents' water supply through data and analytics.

Financial terms were not disclosed.

The project expands an already deployed Xylem Vue to two new Monterrey districts, the company said, adding that the city will also utilize advanced leak detection for cutting water loss.

Xylem said the project is expected to save over 800 million liters of water annually in Mexico City and 560 million liters per year in Monterrey.

Shares of Xylem were up 3% in recent Thursday trading.
