08:17 AM EDT, 05/28/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Yorbeau Resources (YRB.TO) on Tuesday said it boosted its ownership of the Beschefer property in northwestern Quebec, paying $200,000 to buy the remaining 20% stake in some mining claims on the site from International Explorers & Prospectors.
The company said the 4,075-hectare project is comprised of 128 claims, 65 of which were partially owned by International Explorers & Prospectors. With the purchase of that company's minority interest, Yorbeau owns 100% of the copper and zinc project.
"The whole area around Beschefer is one of the most active exploration areas in Quebec," Chief Financial Officer Georges Bodnar Jr. said in a release.
The company's shares closed down $0.005 to $0.04 Monday on the Toronto Stock Exchange.
