Founded in 2003, Microsoft Imagine Cup is the tech giant’s student innovation and technology competition.

The event provides an opportunity for young developers to go out and build business models, create applications and even get technical support to turn their scientific fiction into fact.

In this year’s edition, 49 teams from 33 countries were competing for the ultimate world champion title at the 16th Imagine Cup.

The teams mainly focused on top three areas, artificial intelligence, big data, and mixed reality.
