07:58 AM EDT, 08/08/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Alphabet's (GOOG) YouTube ( GOOG ) suffered a mass outage in Russia on Thursday amid increasing criticism of the platform by Russian authorities, according to multiple media reports.

Russian internet monitoring website Sboi.rf said there had been thousands of glitches reported about YouTube ( GOOG ) service in Russia, Reuters reported.

Alphabet's Google ( GOOG ) did not immediately respond to an MT Newswires request for comment.
