03:41 PM EST, 12/16/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Alphabet's (GOOG) YouTube ( GOOG ) has announced a new feature allowing a small group of creators in the US to reply to comments using voice recordings.

Creators in the test group can respond to comments by tapping a sound wave icon in the YouTube ( GOOG ) app on iOS, recording a voice reply, and posting it as a comment, YouTube ( GOOG ) said in a post on YouTube Support page Monday. While the feature is limited to creators on their own channels, everyone can engage with them.

The video sharing platform said the feature is in "experiment phase" and is gathering feedback.
