Mar 18, 2025 2:39 PM

05:14 PM EDT, 03/18/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Yum Brands ( YUM ) late Tuesday said it is partnering with Nvidia ( NVDA ) to adapt and accelerate development of artificial intelligence technologies for its restaurant brands.

Yum said the companies initially collaborated to combine AI applications with its Byte by Yum platform, using Nvidia ( NVDA )-powered tools such as automated voice agents to take customer orders as well as computer vision and analytics to improve drive-through efficiency and deploy personnel.

The new Byte by Yum platform is now being tested at select Taco Bell and Pizza Hut locations and is expected to expand to 500 restaurants throughout the US, including its KFC ( YUM ) and Habit Burger store by mid-year, the company said.

Other terms of the strategic partnership are subject to mutually acceptable conditions between the companies.
