Yum China Targets 20,000 Stores by 2026, 30,000 by 2030

05:24 AM EST, 11/17/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Yum China ( YUMC ) said Sunday it set three-year targets for high single-digit operating profit growth, double-digit EPS growth and double-digit free cash flow per share.

The company aims to reach 20,000 stores by 2026, and over 30,000 by 2030.

KFC plans to exceed 17,000 stores by 2028 with an operating profit above 10 billion Chinese renminbi ($1.41 billion) that year, while Pizza Hut targets more than 6,000 stores by 2028 and to double its operating profit by 2029, the company said.

Lavazza is targeting 1,000 coffee shops and $60 million in retail sales by 2029 as Yum China ( YUMC ) plans to expand digital tools, including agentic AI and a Q Smart assistant for restaurant managers, Yum China ( YUMC ) said.

Financial targets include a 2025 operating margin of 10.8% to 10.9%, free cash flow per share of $2.2 to $2.3, stores above 25,000, and an operating margin of at least 11.5% by 2028, and returning $1.5 billion a year through 2026, the company added.
