07:23 AM EDT, 10/16/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Zeekr Intelligent Technology ( ZK ) has officially launched in Australia, Zeekr Australia said Wednesday in a Facebook post.

Zeekr entered the Australian market with the sale of its sport utility vehicle model X, multiple media outlets reported Wednesday.

Zeekr X and multi-purpose vehicle Zeekr 009 already received over 2,500 registered expressions of interest, media outlets reported, citing Zeekr Australia's Managing Director Connal Yan.

Reuters reported the Chinese EV maker plans to launch both models in New Zealand later this year.
