July 31 (Reuters) - Ukraine's President Volodymyr
Zelenskiy has signed a law allowing the government to suspend
foreign debt payments until Oct. 1, the parliamentary database
showed on Wednesday.
The move paves the way for a moratorium to be called that
would formally mark a sovereign default for Ukraine.
Earlier this month, Ukraine announced a preliminary
restructuring deal with a committee of those holding $19.7
billion in bonds - its second debt rework in a decade prompted
by Russia's invasion.
