Zscaler to Acquire Red Canary to Accelerate Development of AI-Powered Security Operations
May 27, 2025 2:36 PM

05:03 PM EDT, 05/27/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Zscaler ( ZS ) said it signed a definitive agreement to acquire Red Canary, a detection and response services provider with more than 10 years of experience in security operations.

The takeover will deliver a "unified, agentic Security Operations Center that combines AI-driven workflows with human expertise," the company said late Tuesday without providing financial details of the deal.

"By bringing together Zscaler's ( ZS ) AI-powered Zero Trust platform with Red Canary's domain expertise in threat detection and response-spanning endpoints, identity, network, and cloud workloads, this transaction is uniquely positioned to address the operator pain points," the company said.

The acquisition, subject to customary closing conditions, will likely close in August.
