Aadhaar Case: Access to amenities can't be at cost of privacy, says Supreme Court

A five judge constitution bench headed by Chief Justice Dipak Misra is hearing a clutch of pleas challenging the constitutional validity of the Aadhaar. In the latest hearing, the Attorney General has argued that Aadhaar is critical in providing people with access to basic amenities. The Supreme Court has made some observations that are divergent with the Attorney General's views. Ashmit Kumar shares the key observations made by the Supreme Court.
