Accenture, BCG emerge as top recruiters at India's prominent B-schools: report
Feb 18, 2019 1:07 AM

The country’s most prominent B-schools like Indian Institute of Management – Ahmedabad (IIM-A), IIM-Bangalore, IIM-Calcutta, IIM-Lucknow, IIM-Kozhikode and Xavier School of Management (XLRI) saw Accenture and Boston Consulting Group emerge as the top recruiters, the Business Standard reported on Monday.

IT giant Accenture emerged as the top recruiter across IIM-A with 24 offers, IIM-Bangalore (31), and IIM-Calcutta (24) while BCG was the top recruiter at XLRI and one of the biggest at IIM-Lucknow and IIM-Kozhikode, said the BS report.

Mostly, the companies are extending offers in double digits, said the report, adding that along with the likes of Bain & Co, McKinsey & Co, Deloitte and Avendus, these companies too hint at the changing dynamics of white-collar job market.

Recruitment experts are of the opinion that the companies across the Indian industry are hiring consultancy firms to chalk out their future plans and lead new projects, the report added.

“All industries are going through a transition which has provided a great opportunity for consulting firms. It also augurs well for the economy as high-quality jobs are being created which need talent provided by these B-schools. Campus hirings may not immediately bring a return on investments but recruiters know in future they can turn fruitful,” Rituparna Chakraborty, executive vice president at TeamLease Services, was quoted as saying in the report.
