Any scheme, which is there to ease the stress in power sector is always welcome, said Ashok Khurana, Director-General, Association of Power Producers.

The plan has moved ahead and is close to being finalized before it is presented to the government for the final clearance, he said.

“Presently we do not have the details of this plan. My idea is to find a buyer for these plants which means resolving the factors are the stressed points which are causing the stress. How they are planning to deal with that in the given environment is not clear,” he added.

The change of ownership can only solve if the project is suffering from technical or financial input, said Khurana.
