Tech giant Apple is planning to open six large outlets in India this year, The Economic Times, citing sources close to the development.

According to the report, the sources said that each store will be in the range of 5,000 square feet in Delhi and Mumbai, larger than its current average size of 1,500 sq ft.
“They are looking to open one store each in Delhi, Gurgaon and Noida in the NCR this year and three in Mumbai,” a top executive of a prominent mall was quoted as saying in the report.
While no comments regarding the development were available from Apple, the sources said that the firm is also willing to opt for considerably smaller spaces for the outlets at prominent locations.
