11:11 AM EDT, 08/28/2025 (MT Newswires) -- The Kansas City Fed monthly manufacturing index was unchanged in August from a reading of 1 in July, as expected in a survey compiled by Bloomberg as of 7:30 am ET.
The index indicates expansion, which is in line with the New York Fed and the S&P Global flash indexes but in contrast with the Philadelphia Fed, Dallas Fed and the Richmond Fed readings that suggested contraction.
The ISM's national manufacturing reading will be released on Sept. 2.
Within the Kansas City data, there were index gains for production, shipment, new orders, and employment, while the prices paid reading declined, though still at an extremely high level.
