Auto dealerships in Mumbai under scanner for possible GST evasion

Mumbai-based auto dealerships are being probed for allegedly evading tax on accessories and miscellaneous payments by Mumbai Goods and Services Tax (GST) Commissioner, sources privy to the developments told CNBC-TV18.

The GST central board of excise and customs (CBEC) wing of Mumbai has found out irregularities in the GST filing of these entities and has sent notices to clear their dues or face action.
