In an interview to CNBC-TV18, William Foster of Moody's Investors Service, Sangita Reddy, joint MD of Apollo Hospitals, and Rathin Roy, MD, Overseas Development Institute, shared their views on Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman’s Budget 2021 and gave their outlook going ahead.

Foster said that he was expecting large deficits all over the world but 9.5 percent deficit was a little more than expected. However, he said that higher health and infra spending was encouraging.

Roy said that this is the first time that the government has provided a transparent Budget. He also said that the consequence of failure in achieving disinvestment target has been on revenue side.

Reddy said that this was a balanced Budget, which took care of many critical factors. She said that the Budget focused on relief, reform, and revival.
