With less than a week for Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman to table the Union Budget, there is a buzz that the government may finally give wings to the Bank Investment Company.

This new entity would serve as a holding company of sorts for public sector banks. That's not all, it will, among other things also raise capital on behalf of PSU banks, reports Latha Venkatesh.
