Central Board of Direct Tax has constituted a five-member group to examine taxation aspects of high net worth individuals(HNIs). The group comprises of Pragya Saksena, joint secretary, along with 4 other top revenue officers

According to sources, the first meeting of the working group will be held on Friday, i.e April 6.

Sources say that the CBDT had to come up with the working group keeping in mind the trend of HNIs migrating from India to other jurisdictions posing a substantial tax risk.

The group will give recommendations for policy decision with respect to tax risks of the migrating HNI population.
