Centre to create special purpose vehicle to operate stressed assets in thermal power space

The central government is considering creation of a special purpose vehicle (SPV) by NTPC, Power Finance Corporation (PFC) and Rural Electrification Corporation (REC).

This SPV will operate stressed assets in the thermal power space.

In an exclusive conversation with Anshu Sharma, Power Minister RK Singh said that he has discussed this idea with the finance ministry.
