02:53 PM EDT, 06/13/2025 (MT Newswires) -- The preliminary Michigan Sentiment index rose to 60.5 in June from 52.2 in May.

According to Michigan, consumers' assessment of current conditions and the near-term outlook both improved in the month as 1-year inflation expectations fell sharply to 5.1% from 6.6% in the previous month.

Michigan said uncertainty remains despite the improvement.

The St. Louis Fed's GDP nowcast estimate for Q2 is for a 1.46% gain, revised down from a 1.59% gain reported in the previous week.
