02:47 PM EDT, 09/23/2024 (MT Newswires) -- The flash manufacturing reading from S&P Global fell to a 15-month low of 47.0 in September from 47.9 in August after regional data from the New York and Philadelphia Federal Reserve banks showed expansion in those areas.

The ISM's national manufacturing reading will be released on Oct. 1.

Released at the same time, the flash services reading from S&P Global fell slightly to 55.4 in September from 55.7 in August, suggesting continued expansion. The ISM's services reading is scheduled for release on Oct. 3.

The Chicago Federal Reserve's National Activity index improved to 0.12 in August from minus 0.42 in July, but the three-month moving average still fell to minus 0.17 from minus 0.13.
