01:59 PM EDT, 09/30/2024 (MT Newswires) -- The Chicago PMI rose to 46.6 in September from 46.1 in August, while the Dallas Federal Reserve's monthly manufacturing reading rose to minus 9.0 in September from minus 9.7 in August, both indicating contraction.

Other manufacturing data already published have been mixed. The ISM's national index is scheduled to be released on Tuesday.
