Dallas Fed March Manufacturing Index Falls Below Expectations

10:36 AM EDT, 03/31/2025 (MT Newswires) -- The Dallas Fed's monthly manufacturing index fell to a reading of minus 16.3 in March from minus 8.3 in February, compared with expectations for an increase to a reading of minus 5.0.

The Dallas reading is in line with most other manufacturing readings already released that indicated contraction in the sector.

Despite the decline in the overall reading for Dallas, there were gains for production, new orders, prices paid and shipments. The readings for prices received and employment declined.

The reading for the company outlook fell to minus 10.7 from minus 5.2 in February.
