10:42 AM EDT, 09/29/2025 (MT Newswires) -- The Dallas Fed's monthly manufacturing index fell to a reading of minus 8.7 in September from minus 1.8 in August, compared with expectations for an increase to a reading of minus 1.6 in survey compiled by Bloomberg as of 7:30 am ET, indicating faster contraction.
Other regional manufacturing data already released have been mixed.
For Dallas, there were declines in the readings for production, new orders, shipments, prices paid and employment.
The reading for the company outlook decreased to minus 1.0 from 3.3 in August.
