Dallas Fed Services Index Indicates Slower Expansion in January

10:37 AM EST, 01/28/2025 (MT Newswires) -- The Dallas Federal Reserve's monthly general business services index fell to a reading of 7.4 in January from an upwardly revised 10.8 reading in December, indicating slower expansion.

The index is in line with the Richmond Fed and the S&P Global Flash estimates but in contrast with the New York Fed, Kansas City and the Philadelphia Fed indexes that signaled contraction.

There were gains in the readings for input prices and selling prices but declines in the readings for revenue and employment.
