Delhi government launches draft EV policy: Here's what experts have to say

Last month, the Delhi government came out with its draft electric vehicles (EV) policy, targeting 25 percent of all new vehicle registrations to be electric by 2023 through the subsidy for such autos, rickshaws and two-wheelers, among others

For a city gasping for a clean air to breathe, the draft EV policy of the Delhi government comes as a glimmer of hope. The final contours of this policy, if conceived and implemented well could become the blueprint for all other Indian cities, which are also battling rising vehicle emissions and air pollution. CNBC-TV18 caught up with experts to decode this draft policy and to build public consensus on what can and should be done.
