Expect reasonably good profits in FY19 ahead of good monsoon predictions, says NHPC
Jun 1, 2018 3:45 AM

We are going to have a reasonably good profit this time as the IMD has predicted that the monsoon is going to be good this time, said Balraj Joshi, CMD, NHPC.

“This year the monsoon has not been very good for us and two of our plants also had to be shut down whereby we lost about 400 million units of generation. Despite that in Q4 we have done reasonably well,” he said.

"We expect to achieve 25,000 million units generation target given Kishanganga unit is in full swing," he added.

He also pointed out that excessive monsoon doesn’t result in good profits for us and then we have to shut down the plants for more maintenance.
