08:37 AM EDT, 03/23/2026 (MT Newswires) -- The Chicago Federal Reserve Bank's monthly National Activity Index fell to a reading of minus 0.11 in February from 0.20 in January, lower than a 0.04 reading expected in a survey compiled by Bloomberg.
The three-month moving average increased to minus 0.01 from minus 0.02.
Of the 85 individual indicators, 31 made positive contributions to the index in February, while 54 made negative contributions. Some 31 indicators improved in the month, while 53 indicators deteriorated and one was unchanged.
