Jul 11, 2024 11:07 AM

(Reuters) - Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis President Alberto Musalem said on Thursday that consumer price data released earlier in the day is moving in the right direction.

Recent inflation data "has slowed and is consistent" with more price sensitive consumers, Musalem said at an appearance in Little Rock, Arkansas.

He added, "this morning's (consumer price index) inflation for June points to encouraging further progress toward lower inflation."
