Govt planning more fiscal, monetary policy measures to boost the economy

The government is planning more fiscal and monetary policy measures in order to give a fillip to the economy. Prime Minister Narendra Modi took stock of the economic stimulus packages announced under the Aatmanirbhar Bharat campaign on Tuesday.

Timsy Jaipuria reports that the government may look at promoting manufacture of goods and services, which are imported the most by the country right now. It is also considering more incentives for Make in India and opening up of more sectors under the PLI scheme.
