A meeting of the Financial Stability and Development Council (FSDC), chaired by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, has reviewed the current state of the Indian economy, the overall macroeconomic situation and global developments. The meeting is part of the minister's ongoing pre-budget consultations,

“It was the first such meeting of the new finance minister. As discussed in other FSDC meetings, there was a general review of the current state of the economy and a discussion on the forthcoming budget,” RBI Governor Shaktikanta Das told the media after the meeting.
