The farmers will be allowed to proceed with the tractor rally only after the Republic Day celebrations are over and that too on specific routes The Delhi Police has beefed up security arrangements to avoid any clash or untoward incident. Farmers have agreed to stick to the routes approved by the police. Delhi Police commissioner will also oversee the security preparations.

In Maharashtra, thousands of farmers from 21 districts have reached Mumbai's Azad Maidan to begin their three day sit-in protest in solidarity with ongoing protests in Delhi.
