GST return filing dates extended for Tamil Nadu, parts of Andhra Pradesh due to Cyclone Titli

Government on Wednesday extended the last date of filing the Goods and Services Tax (GST) returns for tax-payers registered in 11 districts of Tamil Nadu and parts of Andhra Pradesh due to Cyclone Titli.

For filing GSTR-3B form for September and October has been extended to November 30, 2018 for the district of Srikakulam in Andhra Pradesh.

The deadline for filing the GSTR-3B form for October has been extended to December, 20 for eleven districts of Tamil Nadu namely Cuddalore, Thiruvarur, Puddukottai, Dindigul, Nagapatinam, Theni, Thanjavur, Sivagangai, Tiruchirappalli, Karur and Ramanathapuram.

Further, the taxpayers having aggregate turnover of more than Rs 1.5 crore and whose businesses in the district of Srikakulam, the due date for filing GSTR-1 form for September and October, is extended up to November 30.

Taxpayers having aggregate turnover of more than Rs 1.5 crore and whose business is in the 11 specified districts of Tamil Nadu, the due date for filing GSTR-1 form for October, is extended up to November 20 and for taxpayers having aggregate turnover of up to Rs 1.5 crore and whose business is in the district of Srikakulam, deadline for the GSTR-1 form for the quarter July-September, has been extended to November 30.

As per the press release issued by government, the deadline for the GSTR-4 form for the quarter, July to September, 2018, he been extended to November, 30 for taxpayers whose business is in the district of Srikakulam.

For all taxpayers, deadline for filing the GSTR-7 form for October to December, is extended to January 31, 2019.
