HDFC Life appoints Vibha Padalkar as the new MD and CEO

HDFC Life board on Wednesday appointed Vibha Padalkar as the new managing director and CEO of the company, the positions which were earlier held by Amitabh Chaudhry.

Chaudhry was recently appointed as the MD and CEO of Axis Bank, replacing Shikha Sharma.

Padalkar, who currently serves as the CFO of HDFC Life, has been appointed to the top posts for a tenure of three years. According to sources, Padalkar would continue to be the CFO as well until a replacement is found.

Padalkar has been associated with HDFC Life since August 2008, prior to which she was associated with firms such as WNS Global Services, Colgate Palmolive (India) and PwC. She is also a member of Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales and India.
