India seeks a rating upgrade; Govt makes a fresh pitch to Fitch

A day after the government reiterated its pitch for a ratings upgrade to Fitch, CNBC-TV18's Priya Sheth caught up with Economic Affairs Secretary SC Garg where he told that they had a good meeting with the rating agency and added that they had a good assessment of the developments in the country. Garg also confirmed that the government will table the Fugitive Economic Offenders Bill on the floor of the parliament in the budget session itself.
