The entire country is expected to get monsoons by June 10, according to private forecast agency Skymet.

After covering most parts of Karnataka and Tamil Nadu, monsoon 2018 has now started its journey towards Maharashtra. Weather conditions are already becoming favourable with Konkan and Goa recording some heavy to extremely heavy showers in the last 24 hours, said Skymet.

A good monsoon leads to bountiful crop which raises farm incomes, boosts rural consumption and drives the economy.
