India unprepared for 5G rollout, says parliament panel on IT

Parliament panel on IT has made scathing remarks about India's preparedness to roll out 5G services.

The panel led by Congress MP Shashi Tharoor has expressed fear that India "will miss the 5G bus".

The panel also highlights lack of preparedness, spectrum issues and uncertainty around sale of radio waves, which will delay India's 5G launch. The report also predicts 5G services to be launched 'partially' only by end of 2021, reports Ashmit Kumar.
