In an operation that took place at around 3.30 am on Tuesday, the Indian Air Force destroyed Jaish-e-Mohammed's camps across the Line of Control (LoC), ANI said quoting sources.

12 Mirage 2000 Indian Fighter jets dropped 1,000 kg of bombs on the said terror camps, the news agency reported, adding, the casualties from the operation stood between 200 and 300.

All phone lines are shut down in Pakistan occupied Kashmir and Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa region, sources said.

There is no official confirmation on the operation carried out by IAF as yet.

Early on Tuesday, Major General Asif Ghafoor, spokesperson of Pakistan Army, in a tweet said the Indian Air Force aircraft 'violated' the LoC.

On February 14, 2019, JeM terrorists attacked a CRPF convoy killing 44 paramilitary soldiers.

"If our neighbour thinks that the type of strategies they are doing, they will be able to take away peace from India, they are highly mistaken," Prime Minister Narendra Modi said in a press conference on February 15. "India’s security forces will take all possible steps to ensure security. Efforts are underway to track down people responsible for the attack."

Pakistan's Prime Minister Imran Khan on February 19 said he is willing to offer all the possible help in investigating the Pulwama attack and added that "war is not the solution." He, however, said that Pakistan will retaliate if India takes any military action.
