ISM Chicago PMI Indicates Contraction in February
Feb 28, 2025 7:05 AM

09:50 AM EST, 02/28/2025 (MT Newswires) -- The Institute for Supply Management's Chicago PMI reading rose to 45.5 in February from 39.5 in January, above the expected 40.8 print in a survey compiled by Bloomberg as of 7:35 am ET.

The index still indicates contraction, which is in line with the Kansas City and Dallas Fed readings but in contrast with the Empire State, Philadelphia Fed, Richmond Fed and the S&P Global Flash indexes that suggested expansion.

The national ISM manufacturing index will be released on March 3.
