11:06 AM EDT, 04/26/2024 (MT Newswires) -- The Kansas City Federal Reserve's monthly composite services index rose to a reading of 9 in April after falling to 7 in March, suggesting faster expansion.
A reading above zero indicates growth.
The other regional services measures already released have indicated contraction in the sector, but the S&P Global flash reading for the month pointed to expansion at a slower rate.
There was an increase in the Kansas City revenue/sales reading to 5 from 4, while the employment reading fell to 6 from 10.
The reading of selling prices fell to 11 from 15, while the input price index increased to 35 from 34.
