As the battle for Karnataka gets heated up with the elections approaching faster, BJP seems to be gearing up for a tough fight against the opposition party in the Congress ruled state. BJP's chief ministerial face, B.S. Yeddyurappa on Friday released the party manifesto.

Primarily focusing on agriculture, the party promised a crop loan waiver of upto 1 lakh both, from PSU and co-op banks on the oath taking day, if the party comes to power.
Yeddyurappa also announced that the party is planning to allot 1.5 lakh crore for irrigation.
In what looks like a push to PM Modi's Digital India programme, the party decided to give away smartphones to women under BPL cards.
After facing a lot of heat with regard to imposition of tax on sanitary pads, BJP has now announced that it will provide pads for Rs 1 to BPL card holders.
Besides, it also promised to fill all vacant posts in police department and to provide free education to students in government colleges.
