Meet Poonam Singh, India’s first ITI-certified female mechanic

Poonam Singh is the first woman to have done the Motor Mechanic course from an ITI.

Singh was the only female among 70-80 students in the class at ITI, Saket (Meerut).

She is trained at a Maruti Suzuki dealership.

The general manager of the dealership was an immense source of support for Poonam.
