Meet the software engineer who gave up his career in US to clean toilets in slums
May 2, 2018 10:02 AM

Swapnil Chaturvedi, the poop guy, is cleaning toilets for a living.

He is changing India by preventing open defecation in urban slums.

On a visit to India in 2007, he was struck by the lack of basic amenities in urban slums.

Swapnil, worked in US for 11 years and a green card holder, gave up his job and returned to India with a purpose. He started Samagra in 2013 to help provide accessible and affordable toilets to the urban poor.
