Motherson Sumi says global trade war not impacting growth
Jul 12, 2018 2:25 AM

There is no impact of the global trade war on Motherson Sumi as the company has manufacturing units in all the countries where carmakers have their plants, said Vivek Chaand Sehgal, chairman of Motherson Sumi.

Companies with high overseas revenues are feeling the heat as the new round of US-China trade war rattles world markets.

“In such kind of scenario, carmakers want much more stability and Motherson is actually a gainer,” Sehgal said.

Sehgal said that the auto component maker will achieve the target earlier than expected.

On the Brexit front, he said that they have already studied it to a great extent. "We have come to the conclusion that it does affect what we are doing," he said.

Apr 28, 2024
(Reuters) - A bond market anomaly that has reliably predicted a U.S. recession in the past may normalize this year in a highly unusual manner. It's a worry for markets. The market signal, called a yield curve, has been upside down since early July 2022, with investors getting less to lock up their money for longer periods than they are...
