November Philadelphia Fed Regional Nonmanufacturing Activity Index Indicates Slower Contraction

08:41 AM EST, 11/25/2025 (MT Newswires) -- The Philadelphia Federal Reserve Bank's monthly nonmanufacturing activity index rose to minus 16.3 in November from minus 22.2 in the previous month, indicating slower contraction in the sector.

The readings for new orders, employment and the sales index all rose in the month, while the prices paid reading decreased.

The six-month outlook at the regional level decreased, while it rose at the firm level, with 23.3% of respondents expecting expansion in the region over the next six months, compared with 36.5% that expect contraction.
