The performance in FY18 was lower than guidance due to Goods and Service Tax (GST), said Rajiv Mittal, Managing Director and Group Chief Executive Officer, VA Tech Wabag.
"Lot of orders got postponed this year. But, still we have an order book of Rs 7,500 crore. Going forward, we are seeing a traction on the Namami Gange orders."
"Recently, we got three orders and going forward, we see a number of orders which are in the bidding phase,” Mittal said to CNBC-TV18's Reema Tendulkar and Nigel D'Souza.
“I am sure, we are going to see major order intakes from Namami Gange," he added.
VA Tech Wabag, a leader in the Indian water treatment technology market, posted a weak set of earnings this quarter.
Revenue was down around 8%, while the company's earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization (EBITDA) dropped 23%.
