Jan 31, 2019 4:27 AM

Pradip Shah, chairman and founder of IndAsia Fund Advisors, in an interview with CNBC-TV18 on Thursday, said that some political objectives will be achieved apart economic objectives in the interim Budget.

Talking about Budget, Shah said, “The regret to me is that Piyush Goyal has had an only week to prepare for it ... his one week will be reflected in the budget. There will be some political objectives been achieved by the budget but there will also be good economic objectives, good economics is good politics, that is what Piyush Goyal says. I think he will walk the talk.”

“If they(the government) do something for farmers on the lines of Telangana or better still the Orissa line where even tenant farmers get benefit ... it is not a bad idea at all,” he added.
