Rewind 2020: Here’s a look back at the key features of govt’s mega stimulus package

An already-struggling economy was in for a major kick to the gut when on March 23rd Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced a nation-wide lockdown. What began as a 3-week exercise, was quickly extended into a 3-month ordeal -- one that has been touted as the strictest lockdowns implemented anywhere in the world.

To help relieve the pressure on the economy, the government came up with a slew of relief and stimulus measures. As 2020 comes to an end, CNBC-TV18's Sapna Das recounts the key features of mega-stimulus package that was unveiled over a 7-month period, and by the government's calculations, were worth nearly Rs 30 lakh crore.
